PrintOur provincial health insurance plan covers only essential medical services.
Although often necessary and quite common, the following services are not covered under your provincial public health insurance plan:

Services rendered by health professionals other than general doctors or medical specialists (chiropractor, osteopath, acupuncturist, etc.).

Eye care for persons between 18 and 64 years of age, including eye glasses and contact lenses.

Dental care services for persons over 10 years of age.
