Together for Haiti: Blue Cross lends a helping hand.
As early as January 15th 2010, Blue Cross became
involved with the Canadian Red Cross' initiative to help
Haiti.
On Saturday, January 16th and Sunday, January
17th, Blue Cross began participating in the initiative
to help Haiti by making its call center facilities and volunteers
available to the Red Cross. Blue Cross employees worked together to
collect telephone donations from citizens who were eager to
help.
From 8 pm to 10:30 pm on Friday January 22nd, all Quebec
radion and television stations will be airing 'Together for Haiti';
a benefit concert aimed at raising additional funds for the cause
at hand. 50 artists, from different musical spectrums and
backgrounds will come together at this time in a joint effort to
generate more donations. The Red Cross is thus expecting a large
number of donation calls in consequence.
In order to collect donations as efficiently as possible, Rogers,
Bell and Videotron have come together to fashion a centralized
contact center regrouping Blue Cross, Desjardins, Nordic Attitude
and Vox Data call center resources.
Blue Cross is proud to participate in this worthy cause and stands,
in solidarity, beside other participants.
